Early in my career I was inspired by one of our industries pioneers. He created a true risk management consultancy and surrounded himself with talented and motivated people. I then saw that business taken over by a multi-national. Bureaucracy stifled initiative and achievement. Profit was prioritised over people and clients suffered as a result.

In 2006 I established Risk Strategies with a clear vision. To create a boutique firm, where people came first. Where client relationships were viewed as partnerships, not transactions. Where being ethical and accountable was the cornerstone of our culture.

In the years since, Lana and I have worked relentlessly to realise this vision. We’ve employed good people, who share our values and prioritise our clients needs. And we’ve built amazing relationships with our clients. Long term relationships that are characterised by trust, value, integrity and quality work.

I often refer to Risk Strategies as my third child (eldest and best behaved). I joined Risk Strategies two months after Peter established the business. Over the last 15 years we’ve worked hand-in-hand to build a firm that is highly regarded for its integrity, hard work, focus on relationships, quality work and commitment.

I’m driven by success. But, for me success is measured by the success of our clients, our team and our business. I believe in leading by example, working hard, being inclusive, adaptable, pragmatic and most importantly outcome focused.

I’m a people person. I thrive on building and nurturing relationships with my clients and my team.  And that is what attracted me to Risk Strategies. To be part of a firm that puts people and relationships at the centre of everything they do.

I believe in working collaboratively, earning trust, delivering results and celebrating success. I’m a ‘say what you’re going to do and deliver’ kind of person. I don’t bamboozle you with industry jargon and acronyms. Instead I provide clear, practical and accurate advice, in plain old English.

I joined Risk Strategies in 2012 after many years at KPMG and ANZ. Having worked in large multinationals and with small and medium sized business, I know what works and what doesn’t work. That there is no one-size fits all solution. That to deliver great outcomes and results, we have to work with you, not for you.
