  • Client lost its only workers compensation expert in a voluntary redundancy programClient had been managing effectively through use of it’s in-house expert but had no formal system
  • Expertise in managing claims within the Comcare system was not readily available
ACTION:
  • Introduced contractor with prior Comcare experience
  • Intensive learning period with strong focus on early injury management and return to work initially
  • Introduced more formal systems so that process is more accountable
RESULTS:
  • Each year premium has been successfully maintained at its historically low level
  • The scope of the program broadens annually
  • Client is convinced that outsourcing is their best option
